Thrill Thursday Update and New Website!

I know I've been slacking on my blogging, but it's with good reason! I'll explain after I catch up on my thrill thursday shtuff!

Week #16 (August 21-29): We started out this week with a camping trip with Anna and two other couples. It was Anna's first time camping and my first time since she was a baby. We drove up to Guanella Pass on Saturday and found our friends that staked out a spot Friday night. It rained. A lot. Anna's first attempt at peeing in the woods was a major fail. So was her fifth. We hiked up part of Mt. Beirstadt to see how far Anna could go (she made it a couple of miles before turning back.) We at s'mores. We battled smoke from the fire that seemed to always want to blow in our eyes, no matter where we stood. We got stalked by a deer. We slept on an air mattress that wouldn't keep its air. I froze while Sergej and Anna slept happily oblivious to the cold night air. And you know what? I would do it again in a heartbeat! Only, next time I'm buying a foam pad to sleep on. I'm getting to old to deal with air mattresses or sleeping on the ground.

Week #17(August 28-September 3): Monday night I went to see Def Leppard and Heart with four of my girlfriends. Groupon offered tickets for just $20, so we decided it would be fun to be amongst the middle-aged for a night! Surprisingly, I knew every single Heart song that was performed. Also surprisingly, I knew very few of the Def Leppard songs. By far, Pour Some Sugar On Me was the night's winner. I will admit that our little patch of the lawn was filled with some of the most amazing dance moves you will never lay eyes on! It was such a great night. I'm ready for Duran Duran to come through town now!

Okay, now on to why I've been such a slacker with the blog the last two weeks! My new website is up! FINALLY! A year and a half ago I purchased a domain and a subscription through the web creation service offered through FatCow, and then promptly told Sergej to create my website for me. Well, that was a waste of money because Sergej never completed the task and FatCow charges by the year. So, I canceled my subscription and subscribed to an all-in-one solution that my brain could understand and handle on its own. Voila! My website was born! It is now parked at http://www.tzphotodenver.com/. I also ordered business cards and return address labels! How cool is that? I have a photo shoot scheduled for every weekend this month as well as a wedding on October 1st. I'm hoping to supplement a large chunk of my monthly income with my photography by this time next year. I feel like I've been taking baby steps for so long and suddenly this past week has been several giant leaps. I'm thrilled!

I'll write my Staycation Saturday post this evening, because the Taste of Colorado is this weekend and it's worth mentioning! Until then...
